Gordon Clarke, landscape designer, who oversaw the restoration of The
Mount and Superintendent of the Trustees of Reservations in the
southern Berkshires was the guest lecturer. He discussed The Mount
gardens designed by Edith Wharton and compared the European influences
on The Mount and Naumkeag where Mabel Choate collaborated with
landscape designer, Fletcher Steele.
